Broiled Tempeh Recipe

Broiled Tempeh

 
 
This tempeh recipe is quick to fix and the ginger, garlic, and parsley adds to it's exotic flavor.
 
1/3 package    tempeh  
2 large    mushrooms, chopped  
2 cloves    garlic, chopped  
1 tsp    soy sauce  
4 Tbs    water  
2 tsp    fresh parsley, chopped  
  no-fat cooking spray  
 



1 Steam tempeh until it is warmed.
2 Spray a pyrex pie plate with no-fat cooking spray.
3 Mix one tablespoon of soy sauce with 3 tablespoons of water.
4 Put 1 tablespoon of diluted soy mixture on the bottom of the pyrex plate.
5 Cut tempeh into small bite size pieces and put in pie plate.
6 Add chopped mushrooms, garlic, and ginger.
7 Sprinkle remaining 3 tablespoons of diluted soy mixture on top.
8 Sprinkle with chopped parsley.
9 Broil 6" from heat source for approximately 8-10 minutes or until eh soy is bubbling and the tempeh is browned.
