California Lettuce Wrap

California Lettuce Wrap

 
 
This South Beach Diet recipe of a California lettuce wrap is for phase 1. It is easy to prepare and low in calories as lettuce is used in place of bread in a traditional sandwich.
 
1 leaf    red or green leaf lettuce  
1 slice    turkey breast  
1 slice    ham  
1 slice    tomato  
1 slice    avocado  
1 tsp    lime juice  
1 leaf    arugula or watercress  
1 Tbs    sugar-free ranch salad dressing  
 



1 Place lettuce leaf of a plate.
2 Top with turkey, ham, and tomato.
3 In a small bowl, mash avocado and lime juice.
4 Spread on top of lettuce wrap stack.
5 Top with arugula or watercress and dressing.
6 Roll up and secure with a wooden pick.
